Lee Williams is the Executive Director of the Humboldt Chamber of Commerce.
Before joining the Chamber staff in October 2014, Lee was a Project Manager for the Tennessee Department of Transportation. There he was responsible for the management of various transportation improvement projects in West Tennessee, as well as coordination of the State Industrial Access grant program for the region. His previous work at TDOT was in roadway design.
Lee holds a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from The University of Memphis and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Tennessee. He also holds a Master's Degree in Science from The University of Tennessee and a Master of Business Administration degree from The University of Tennessee at Martin.
In addition to his work at the Chamber, Lee is Vice-Chairman of the Humboldt Board of Education and a member of the Humboldt Rotary Club. He and his wife, Jessica, are also part-owners of a local business and are members of First United Methodist Church in Humboldt.
Lee and his wife are natives of Humboldt with deep roots in the area. Lee's ancestors were among the early business owners along Front Street in the Crossing business district and operated the first fruit and vegetable brokerage in Humboldt for nearly 70 years. They live in Lee's family's home place (J.D. Bonds House), which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
His two daughters, Ella Kate and Virginia, attend Humboldt City Schools and are proud baby Vikings!
West Tennessee Strawberry Festival Coordinator
A Humboldt native and graduate of Humboldt High School, Anna Nicodemus Surratt is the West Tennessee Strawberry Festival Coordinator for the Humboldt Chamber of Commerce.
Anna holds a Bachelor of Science degree with an interdisciplinary major in Organizational Communication from Middle Tennessee State University.
Anna works in conjunction with the President and General Chairman of the West Tennessee Strawberry Festival as well as committee chairperson for each event. She is responsible for the planning and coordination of all sponsorship relations, ad sales, events, and any other festival-related endeavors.
Prior to joining the Chamber, Anna worked in human resources for US Farathane, a large manufacturer in Jackson, Tennessee. There she learned many tools that she continues to use in her job as Festival Coordinator.
Anna is a member of First Baptist Church in Humboldt and a provisional in Junior Auxiliary of Humboldt.
She is married to Timothy Surratt, and they have two dogs, Maddie and Demi.
